The Soul, Kia’s iconic boxy crossover, returns for the 2023 model year more inspired than ever. Safety, reliable performance, state-of-the-art technology, and bold Kia styling are the hallmarks of the 2023 Kia Soul, but what Soul should you buy? Here is a breakdown of the four trim levels, so you know exactly which Soul is right for your needs.

All trim levels of the 2023 Soul are equipped with the same powertrain, a punchy 2.0L four-cylinder motor paired with an intelligent-variable automatic transmission. This gives the Soul 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, as well as an EPA-estimated combined 30 mpg.

LX

The base trim level, the Soul LX, comes standard with color-matched exterior mirrors and handles, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, keyless entry, a six-speaker sound system, and roof rack mounting points. Also available are Kia’s suite of driver assistance features including forward collision avoidance, lane assist, driver attention warning, and more.

More driver assistance features that come standard on higher trim levels are available on the Soul LX through the Technology Package.

S

Improving on the great features of the LX, the Soul S offers 16-inch alloy wheels, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen that supports integration with the Kia Conenct app, as well as additional USB charging ports, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, and three additional driver assistance features. These features, designed for your safety and convenience, are blind spot collision avoidance, rear traffic alert, and lane change assist.

EX

The upgrades continue for the EX trim, the 2023 Soul’s second-highest trim level. The Soul EX now rests on larger 17-inch alloy wheels, and the exterior styling is further improved with a new grille. EX Souls also receive heated side mirrors, rear cupholders, heated front seats, a power sunroof, and leather detailing. There is also a 12V power outlet in the cargo area, a must-have if you like to camp or barbecue outdoors.

GT-Line

The Soul GT-Line represents the apex of Souls. Coming standard with even larger 18-inch alloy wheels, the Soul GT-Line features an exclusive sporty exterior with unique side sills and front and rear bumper fascias. Inside you will find a unique D-shaped steering wheel trimmed with leather.

Two packages are available for the Soul GT-Line. The Technology Package adds a ten-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, navigation-based smart cruise control, and more. The Designer Package comes with a special blue and black two-tone exterior and black and white interior.

The Kia Soul, available in four trim levels, offers an exciting package of reliable Kia performance and tech comforts wrapped up inside one of the most iconic vehicle designs of the 21st century. Visit us today at Hart Kia to test drive a 2023 Soul today.
