Winter
For many, the winter season can prove to be an especially treacherous season to ride your Sorento, K5, or Telluride in. This is because the roads can become coated with snow and ice, greatly reducing your traction. To prevent this from becoming an issue, you may want to consider winter tires during your I-81 rides. These are sets that have a greater number of slots and sipes than their summer variants, resulting in them being able to dig into soft, wintry elements. Additionally, they are made of a softer kind of rubber, resulting in them being more able to withstand and conform to the colder temperatures. But if you use these in the summer, expect them to wear away much more quickly than they otherwise would.
Summer
When the sun starts peeking out from behind the clouds once more, you’ll know it's time for barbecues at Longwood Park. However, it will also be time for you to schedule a service appointment at our dealership so that you can get a set of summer tires. Unlike their winter-adjusted counterparts, they come with an overall flatter surface. This makes them a much stronger option for dry and wet weather alike, maintaining stellar traction. Summer heat also causes air to expand, which can be an issue for some types of tires. But for summer tires, they have a rigid structure that allows them to keep their shape and avoid a loss of structural integrity. Avoid using these in the winter though, as they will provide very little grip during this time.
All-Season
Do you want to avoid having to swap out your tires every couple of months? Then we’d like to present you with the option to keep the same set all year long through all-season tires. These variants adopt traits of their season-specific counterparts, making it effective at being a jack-of-all-trades. However, this does come at the cost of not being as excellent at handling particularly harsh weather. Otherwise, you should find them more than satisfactory at handling mild conditions with great success.
